Celebrate 100th International Women’s Day!

5 Feb

Are you a woman? No?

Well.

Do you love women? Yah. I thought so.

Get up and get motivated to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of International Women’s Day with Mary Kay!

The independent sales force (of which I am a member) will celebrate International Women’s Day on March 8, 2011! Join in and help us reach the goal of volunteering 1 million hours of community service around the world.

The Mary Kay Global Month of Service (February 8th – March 8th) is designed to allow ALL of us make a difference in the lives of others, be a part of a global volunteer movement, give recognition to women for their contributions to society and living legacies! In different parts of the world, the focus of the celebrations vary from demonstrating respect, appreciation and love toward women to honoring women’s economic, political and social achievements.

Wanna know what to do? That’s easy!

Your day of service can be for and with any organization or person. You can:

  • Continue the same volunteering activity you already do.
  • Volunteer your day of service with a new charity and take the opportunity to learn about a new cause and meet new people.
    • You can find websites or organizations that offer volunteer opportunities. Global organizations such as the Red Cross and UNICEF may have volunteer opportunities.
    • Hospitals, schools, orphanages, children’s homes and retirement facilities may have volunteer needs.
    • You can even create your own volunteer activity by cleaning up a local park or neighborhood.

If you need an idea, we invite you to contact your Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultant to find out about her involvement or get ideas. Or contact me.
